About Us

yalasoo Tibetan Culture Heritage Promotion is a non-profit organization focusing on preservation and development of Tibetan culture heritage including Tibetan language and classical texts by using modern high-techs including computer and Internet technologies. Our researchers and software developers are from Tibetan areas, China and oversea world. Our partners are from Tibetan areas, China and other countries, including government departments, research institutes, universities, non-profit organizations, world top companies and individuals.

We organize scholars and computer engineers, who aspire to protect, inherit and develop Tibetan culture heritage, to carry out various research and development projects in line with our mission by utilizing the resources provided by our partners.

We have been involved in the preparation of all kinds of national and international standards for Tibetan information technology, and to play important role in it. We carry out the fundamental research works for Tibetan information technology, and extend them to practical applications; We also conduct those cutting-edge research and development works of Tibetan information technology, overcoming the difficulties of Tibetan information technology; We develop a variety of Tibetan computer software and Tibetan computer fonts, and provide them free to Tibetan users; We work with the world's top companies to integrate Tibetan language into the mainstream computer operating systems and mobile systems for millions of Tibetan users; We write a variety of Tibetan dictionaries and Tibetan textbooks, to promote Tibetan language education; We are committed to digitalize various Tibetan classics, such as the Kanjur and Tenjur which have been knew as the Tibetan encyclopedia, to protect and inherit the outstanding cultural heritage of Tibet.
