The standardization of Tibetan place names is a very important work. yalasoo publishes "Tibetan-Chinese-English Tibetan Place Names Dictionary" to promote the standardization work for Tibetan place names in Tibetan, Chinese and English three languages.

We collected more than 50,000 Tibetan place names from published books, including more than 20,000 in the Tibet Autonomous Region, more than 30,000 from the rest of four Tibetan areas within Sichuan, Yunnan, Gansu and Qinghai. We worked on the translations of the 50,000 place names in Tibetan, English and Chinese three languages, and also worked on the Wyile Tibetan transliteration of these names, as well as the marking work of the types and the location of the places.

This dictionary project was completed under the full funding of the China National Working Committee on Standardization of Terminologies in Tibetan.
